Jolt for Android — interval timer for functional fitness

Jolt does not collect any data about you.

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. Jolt contains no tracking software of any kind, and nothing you do in the app is sent to us — because there is no server to send it to.

What Jolt stores, and where

Everything Jolt saves stays on your device, inside the app's own private storage:

• Your workouts — names, rounds, reps and timings.
• Your workout history — the date, duration and round count of sessions you finish.
• Your settings — chosen coach voice, accent colour, cue preferences.

None of it leaves your phone. Deleting the app deletes all of it. If your device backs itself up through Google One or your manufacturer's backup service, this data may be included in your backup, which is controlled by your own account settings rather than by Jolt.

Sharing a workout

When you share a workout, the entire workout is encoded inside the link itself. No copy is uploaded anywhere, and we never see it. Whoever you send it to can open it in Jolt, and nothing about that exchange reaches us. The QR code is generated on your device and is not sent anywhere.

Casting to a TV

Jolt can send a workout to a Chromecast. This is the only part of Jolt that makes network requests, so it is worth being exact about what happens:

• Your TV loads a page from GitHub. The clock display and the coach audio are files hosted at mazkopolo.github.io, served by GitHub Pages. When your Chromecast fetches them, GitHub receives that request the same way any web server receives one — including your network's IP address — and it is handled under GitHub's privacy statement. We receive no report of it and keep no logs of our own.
• What Jolt sends the TV is only what you can see on it: the phase, the clock, the round, the movement names and the time remaining. It goes directly from your phone to your TV over your own network.
• Google's Cast software is built into the app to find and talk to Chromecasts. It is Google's code, and Google may collect diagnostic information about Cast usage under its own privacy policy. Jolt does not receive any of it.

If you never cast, Jolt makes no network requests at all.

Purchases

Jolt Pro is sold through Google Play's billing system. Google handles the entire transaction. Jolt never receives or stores your name, payment details or account information — it only asks the operating system whether a valid purchase exists on the device, and that check works offline.

Permissions

• Notifications — so the timer can show the round and the time remaining while your screen is off.
• Network state — so Jolt can find a Chromecast on your network.

Neither is used to identify you. Jolt does not use the camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or your location, and does not read from or write to Health Connect.

Children

Jolt is a workout timer suitable for general audiences. Because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
